Job summary

Worley seeks a Specialist Telecom Engineer to provide expert offshore telecommunications engineering across Concept, FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC, Construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning on ADNOC Offshore projects.

You will review EPC telecom deliverables, ensure compliance with ADNOC and international codes, coordinate with multi-discipline teams, and support safe, cost-effective project execution.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering; 15+ years in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industries.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar offshore telecom role on mega projects.
• Experience in Concept, FEED and EPC project stages.
• ADNOC Offshore project experience is required.
• 5+ years GCC exposure; offshore telecom knowledge.
• Ability to review EPC deliverables and ensure compliance with standards.
• Knowledge of offshore telecom integration and industrial networks.
• Experience in FAT/SAT, commissioning and start-up support.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for offshore telecom systems during Concept to Commissioning.
• Review and approve EPC telecom deliverables per ADNOC standards and specs.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, ITU-T, TIA/EIA, IEEE, ISO and ADNOC standards.
• Coordinate telecom activities with Instrumentation, Electrical, Process and HSE disciplines.
• Support technical evaluations, vendor reviews and procurement.
• Participate in design reviews and project technical reviews.
• Assist in site visits and offshore surveys for verification.
• Support construction, testing, pre-commissioning and start-up activities.

Position Summary

The Specialist Telecom Engineer shall provide specialist engineering expertise for all Telecommunication Systems throughout Concept, FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC, Construction, Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning phases of major ADNOC Offshore projects. The role is responsible for reviewing and ensuring EPC Contractor engineering deliverables comply with ADNOC standards, international codes, cybersecurity requirements, project specifications, and industry best practices while supporting safe, reliable, and cost-effective project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist engineering support for offshore telecommunication systems during Concept, FEED, Detailed Engineering and EPC phases.
• Review, comment and approve EPC Contractor telecom engineering deliverables in accordance with ADNOC standards and project specifications.
• Ensure compliance with applicable international standards including IEC, ITU‑T, TIA/EIA, IEEE, NFPA, ISO and ADNOC Engineering Standards.
• Review telecom system architecture, network topology, equipment layouts and interface requirements.
• Coordinate telecom engineering activities with Instrumentation, Electrical, Process, Mechanical, Civil/Structural and HSE disciplines.
• Support technical evaluations, vendor document reviews and procurement activities.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, Constructability, Design Reviews and Project Technical Reviews.
• Resolve technical queries, design deviations and concession requests raised by EPC Contractors.
• Support construction, installation, testing, pre‑commissioning, commissioning and start‑up activities.
• Perform site visits and offshore surveys to verify installation quality and engineering compliance.
• Monitor engineering progress and identify technical risks, proposing practical mitigation measures.
• Ensure telecom systems satisfy functional, operational availability, reliability and maintainability requirements.
• Support project close‑out activities including review of As‑Built documentation and final dossiers.

• A bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, Petrochemical.
• Must have at least five (5) years of experience in similar position in a mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
• Extensive experience in Concept, FEED and EPC project execution.
• ADNOC Offshore project experience is required
• 5+GCC experience is required
• Experience in reviewing EPC Contractor engineering deliverables.
• Good knowledge of offshore telecom systems integration and industrial communication networks.
• Experience in FAT, SAT, commissioning and start‑up support is preferred.
