Lead Solution Architect – Emissions & Oil & Gas

Job summary

Context Labs seeks a senior Solution Architect to bridge technical, product, and customer needs in oil & gas and emissions domains. You will lead pre-sales activities, define architecture standards, and ensure alignment with product evolution while mentoring junior staff.

The role combines hands-on technical work with client-facing responsibilities across pre- and post-sales, reporting to the Chief Customer Officer and collaborating with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (process/process safety, facilities/operations, mechanical, environmental, or similar related field).
• Significant experience in oil & gas operating facilities with ability to understand operational challenges and communicate with customer personnel.
• Project Management and/or Agile certification is a plus.
• Solid understanding of P&IDs, PFDs, C&E charts, Electrical One-Lines, Facility Layout Drawings.
• Prior experience in software and architectural design with RESTful API integration is a plus.
• Experience with the Atlassian suite is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define pre-sales strategy, governance, and reference implementation strategy.
• Define qualification and delivery standards; own discovery frameworks.
• Define architectural principles for scalability, performance, and reuse.
• Govern emissions calculation standards, methodology interpretation, and auditability.
• Define knowledge engineering standards and maintainability of the knowledge graph technology.
• Set portfolio-wide data integration standards and patterns.
• Govern outputs and certificates for compliance and regulator readiness.
• Establish governance for post-sales handoffs and alignment across teams.
• Lead the Solution Architecture organization and mentor junior staff.
• Balance revenue growth with delivery risk and long-term platform integrity.
