Job summary

Zohorecruit in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is seeking a Project Engineer to lead site delivery for pump rental and dewatering projects across the UAE. You will manage multiple contracts, prepare method statements, supervise site teams, and ensure execution aligns with programmes and contract requirements.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, electrical or geotechnical engineering, have 5+ years of experience, GCC driving licence, and are fluent in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, electrical, geotechnical engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction or related engineering fields.
• Experience in pump rental, overpumping, pumping systems or dewatering is preferred.
• Geotechnical or dewatering site experience is advantageous.
• Good understanding of project financial and contractual requirements.
• Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in challenging site conditions.
• Willingness to travel across the GCC and spend extended periods on site on short notice.
• Valid GCC Driving Licence.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong leadership, communication and team-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and site delivery activities after contract award.
• Prepare and approve method statements, risk assessments, project programmes and safe systems of work.
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with approved programmes, specifications and contracts.
• Monitor project progress and address operational challenges promptly.
• Assess project requirements and specify pumps, equipment and supporting systems.
• Coordinate procurement and mobilization of pumps and equipment.
• Plan manpower, plant, equipment and third-party labour for efficient execution.
• Supervise, mentor and support project engineers and site foremen.
• Conduct regular planning and coordination meetings.
• Provide technical and operational guidance to site teams.
• Maintain accurate site data, as-built information and discharge flows.
• Ensure proper project documentation supports payments and valuations.
• Attend contractual and progress meetings with clients and contractors.
• Identify variations, claims and additional work opportunities.
• Support timely payment applications and commercial recovery.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Promote safety and ensure compliance with HSSE requirements.
