Job summary

Salt is seeking a Product Design Manager to lead passenger-facing product development across the travel journey, from cabin interiors to ground service environments.

You will drive research, ideation, prototyping, testing, and delivery while collaborating with Guest Experience, Brand, Engineering, and Procurement teams to ensure designs reflect the brand and meet safety, sustainability, and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Product, or Transportation Design.
• 5+ years of experience in product or industrial design (aviation, transportation, automotive, or luxury sectors).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating ergonomic and aesthetic design expertise.
• Skilled in 3D modeling and visualization tools.
• Experienced in managing multidisciplinary projects.
• Deep understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and CMF strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design process from research to delivery.
• Design physical touchpoints including seating, cabin layouts, onboard products, and ground facilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Guest Experience, Brand, Engineering, Procurement, external partners).
• Translate customer insights into innovative, passenger-centric design concepts.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure design integrity during production and implementation.
• Ensure designs are cost-effective, sustainable, and compliant with safety and aviation standards.
• Oversee the design approval process with internal and external stakeholders.
• Evolve the brand's product design language to deliver outstanding experiences.
