Job summary

Mashreq is seeking a senior procurement leader to drive strategic sourcing and supplier management across HR services, facilities management, marketing and professional services.

You will lead a team, optimize processes and deliver value through cost-saving initiatives while ensuring high service quality and stakeholder satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Graduate with strong business or procurement foundations and professional certifications preferred.
• Extensive experience leading procurement in services sectors including banking.
• Deep knowledge of ERP, eTendering platforms and supplier relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of procurement professionals.
• Assign projects and RFPs within non-technology procurement for HR services, facilities, marketing and professional services.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost effectiveness and reliable service.
• Ensure CPD function delivers quality and bottom-line impact through vendor satisfaction and stakeholder engagement.
• Resolve stakeholder queries and concerns promptly.
• Identify automation opportunities to simplify processes and reduce costs.
• Oversee procure-to-pay workflow and ensure timely purchase orders.
• Improve procurement efficiency and operational performance.

Job description

• Lead, Mentor and Develop a team of professionals on strategic sourcing
• Assign the new projects / RFPs within the nontechnology procurement team for HR services, Facilities management marketing, professional services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost effectiveness, and reliable service delivery.
• Understand business requirements; ensure CPD function performs to its expected outcome in terms of quality, quantity, vendor / supplier satisfaction, end user satisfaction and bottom-line contribution.
• Resolve stakeholder queries and concern.
• Explore new and innovative ideas for automation, modernizing and simplifying the process along with cost effective and value-added approach.
• Manage the procurement workflow and ensuring the team is issuing purchase orders accordingly
• Optimize the procure to pay process to enhance efficiency

• Business Graduate with preferably Procurement Certifications like CIPS, SPSM etc.;
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience leading procurement function with last 4 years managing a similar position in a service / banking industry.
• Familiar with local market dynamics in particular and regional / international in general.
• Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity;
• Strong contract development and negotiations skills including exposure to ERP, B2B Systems, eTenders, eAuctions etc.;
• Relationship management, people management and networking skills
