Job summary

Yello is seeking a Head of Procurement in the United Arab Emirates to lead the group’s procurement strategy across multiple sectors. The role focuses on shaping governance, policies, and tender processes, while driving supplier consolidation and high-value negotiations.

Ideal candidates have UAE national status, a relevant Bachelor’s degree, and 12–15 years of senior procurement experience within large, multi-entity organisations. ERP proficiency (SAP) and CIPS are preferred.

Qualifications

• UAE National ONLY
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related discipline
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification advantageous
• Professional certification such as CIPS preferred
• Minimum 12–15 years of progressive procurement or supply chain experience
• Proven senior procurement leadership experience within large, multi-entity organisations
• Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier governance
• Demonstrated success in high-value contract negotiations and supplier consolidation
• Experience working with ERP and procurement systems such as SAP or equivalent
• Exposure to manufacturing, FMCG, food production, agriculture, or industrial sectors preferred
• Experience operating within structured governance, audit, and approval frameworks

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a group-wide procurement strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Establish procurement policies, procedures, governance frameworks, and approval processes.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across direct and indirect spend categories.
• Drive supplier consolidation to maximise group purchasing leverage.
• Oversee major tenders, RFQs, sourcing strategies, and contract negotiations.
• Establish supplier evaluation, performance management, and risk assessment frameworks.
• Deliver cost-saving, value engineering, and procurement efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with governance, audit, regulatory, and ethical standards.
• Lead procurement process standardisation through ERP and procurement systems.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and functional direction to procurement teams.
