Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise in all piping design.
- Ensure design and engineering compliance with relevant codes and ADNOC standards.
- Coordinate, monitor and handle piping design and engineering with EPC Contractor as per project expectations and complete the work within the required timeframe.
- Work with other discipline engineers within IPMT.
- Coordinate site interface to resolve technical issues and ensure quality and integrity of discipline engineering execution.
- Perform regular and timely technical reviews of piping engineering deliverables developed by engineering consultants and contractors, ensuring design quality in compliance with relevant codes, standards and best practices.
- Ensure integration of overall piping engineering and overall coordination within the IPMT piping engineering team.
- Ensure quality and accuracy of engineering consultant and EPC contractor piping engineering design activities.
- Review and approve engineering consultant and EPC contractor work and ensure compliance with ADNOC project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and best industry practices.
- Coordinate required engineering participation in the development and analysis of various design options and business models.
- Contribute input and expertise in the development and analysis of various design options and business models to support design optimization and validation.
- Participate in teams for equipment sizing and equipment selection, considering optimization and standardization.
- Ensure that facilities are designed in accordance with the latest corporate guidelines with respect to environment and health aspects.
- Ensure full utilization of existing facilities while optimizing facilities required for new projects.
- Participate in layout reviews, model reviews, design reviews and technical workshops.
- Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline engineers.
- Coordinate technical reviews, bid evaluation and performance evaluation.
- Provide technical assistance during installation, pre‑commissioning and commissioning.
- Report to ADNOC Discipline Team Leader, Engineering Manager and support Project Managers and Engineers within the Project Management Team organization.
- Interface with managers, team leaders and engineers in company technical departments, business units, operations units and logistics department.
- Interface regularly with contractor engineering and project management team and discipline engineers as and when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent technical team and interpersonal skills.
- Experience and detailed knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.
- Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software.
- Ability to make independent decisions in the planning, organizing and coordinating to develop solutions to complex problems.
