Job summary

Wood is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Engineer to provide technical expertise in instrumentation design and ensure compliance with ADNOC standards. The role involves coordinating with EPC Contractors, ADNOC Engineering, and site teams to resolve complex technical issues and deliver high-quality engineering deliverables.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Instrumentation/Electronics Engineering and at least 15 years of oil and gas experience, with strong communication

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IPMT, EPC Contractor, ADNOC Engineering, Operation, Site Interface to resolve technical issues and ensure quality discipline engineering execution.
• Perform regular and timely technical reviews of Instrumentation deliverables ensuring design quality in compliance with codes, standards and best practices.
• Review and approval of Engineering Consultant and EPC Contractor work for ADNOC project compliance.
• Coordinate engineering participation in design options and optimization.
• Participate in equipment sizing and selection considering optimization and standardization.
• Ensure facilities align with corporate guidelines on environment and health.
• Interface with Contractors and internal teams for reviews, bid evaluations and commissioning support.
• Provide technical assistance during installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning.

Job description

Overview

Provide technical expertise in all Instrumentation design, ensure design and engineering compliance with relevant codes and ADNOC standards, coordinate, monitor and handle Instrumentation design and engineering with EPC Contractor as per project expectations and complete the same within the time frame.

Responsibilities

• Work with other discipline engineers within IPMT, EPC Contractor, ADNOC Engineering, Operation, Site Interface to resolve technical issues and ensure quality Discipline Engineering execution and integrity.
• Perform regular and timely technical reviews of Instrumentation Engineering deliverables developed by engineering consultants and contractors, ensuring design quality in compliance with relevant codes, standards and best practices.
• Review and approval of Engineering Consultant and EPC Contractor work, ensuring compliance with ADNOC project specifications, relevant codes and standards and best industry practices.
• Coordinate the required engineering participation in the development and analysis of various design options and business models, contributing input and expertise to design optimization and validation.
• Participate in teams for equipment sizing and selection, considering optimization and standardization.
• Ensure that the facilities are designed in accordance with the latest corporate guidelines with respect to environment and health aspects.
• Ensure full utilization of existing facilities while optimizing facilities required for new projects.
• Participate in layout reviews, model review, design reviews and technical workshops.
• Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline engineers.
• Coordinate technical reviews, bid evaluation and performance evaluation.
• Provide technical assistance during installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Report to ADNOC Discipline Team Leader, Engineering Manager and provide support to Project Managers and Engineers within the Project Management Team organization.
• Interface with Managers, Team Leaders and Engineers in Company’s Technical Departments, Business Units, Operations Units and Logistics Department.
• Interface regularly with Contractor’s Engineering and Project Management team and discipline engineers as and when required.
