Job summary

Emirates GroupIT seeks a seasoned Lead Performance Engineer to ensure performance, availability and scalability of products within an agile release train. You will develop a fit-for-purpose performance strategy, drive early testing and testing efficiency, and collaborate across architects and product owners to maintain NFRs and workload models.

The role demands strong profiling, tuning, and load testing skills, extensive use of YourKit, JProfiler, JMeter and Gatling, plus open telemetry,

Qualifications

8+ years in Performance Engineering with scalable, mission-critical apps.
3+ years leading performance engineering for multiple products.
Expertise in performance tuning, bottleneck analysis and system optimization.
Proficient in profiling and load testing tools (YourKit, JProfiler, LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatling).
Experience with Web performance tools (Sitespeed.io, WebPageTest, Lighthouse).
Strong cloud and container exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP, Kubernetes).
Solid understanding of APM, OpenTelemetry, logging and tracing.

Responsibilities

Design and execute complex test scenarios to identify regressions and measure performance.
Establish performance baselines and identify key improvement areas.
Review architecture to propose performance and reliability enhancements.
Build workload models with IT and business stakeholders and maintain NFRs.
Implement performance gates in CI/CD pipelines and optimize testing frameworks.
Analyze performance results and drive data-driven improvements across teams.
