Job summary

Emirates Group IT invites applications for a Lead Performance Engineer to join the QE team in Dubai. You will drive performance, availability, scalability, and reliability across a suite of products in an agile release train.

You will collaborate with architects, product owners, and developers to enforce non-functional requirements and test strategies. The role demands hands-on expertise in profiling, tuning, and modern load-testing tools, with a focus on building reusable frameworks and

Qualifications

8+ years in performance engineering, including testing, profiling and tuning.
3+ years leading performance engineering for multiple products.
Expertise in bottleneck detection and optimization; proficient with profiling tools.
Experience with LoadRunner, Gatling, JMeter and client-side analysis tools.
Strong understanding of software architecture and non-functional requirements.

Responsibilities

Design and execute complex test scenarios; establish baselines and identify improvements.
Participate in performance engineering lifecycle across agile release trains.
Review architecture and suggest improvements for performance and reliability.
Maintain NFR backlogs with product owners; define workload models.
Investigate and resolve performance issues to reduce production defects.
Establish performance gates in CI/CD pipelines; enable framework reuse.
