Job summary

KBR, Inc. seeks a Lead Instrumentation and Control Engineer for offshore projects in Abu Dhabi. The role leads the I&C discipline across FEED, detailed engineering, EPC, commissioning, and startup, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to ADNOC standards.

You will drive design of DCS/ESD/Fire & Gas/PLC/SCADA/ICSS, oversee HAZOP and functional safety activities, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safe, compliant offshore facilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation/Electronics/E&I or equivalent.
Master's degree is an advantage.
Chartered Engineer certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead the Instrumentation & Control discipline team for offshore projects.
Manage engineering deliverables, resource planning, and technical quality of discipline activities.
Provide discipline leadership during FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC, and commissioning phases.
Coordinate with project management and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Review and approve instrument datasheets, loop drawings, cable schedules, and related documents.
Lead design and implementation of DCS, ESD, F&G, PLC, SCADA, and ICSS systems.
Ensure system architecture complies with ADNOC and cybersecurity requirements.
Participate in HAZOP, SIL assessment, LOPA, alarm rationalization, and Functional Safety Reviews.
Ensure compliance with IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 standards.
Lead offshore site surveys and brownfield modification activities.
Review vendor documentation for packaged equipment (gas compressors, pumps, water injection, generators).
Participate in FATs, SATs, and technical evaluations.
