Job summary

KBR in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Lead Instrumentation & I&C Engineer to lead the I&C design activities for the ROO EPCm Feed Design project, ensuring technical quality and timely delivery across disciplines.

The role requires extensive FEED EPCM experience in oil and gas, strong knowledge of DCS/SIS/PLC/SCADA, international codes, and a proven ability to mentor junior engineers and coordinate with clients, vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering.
At least 18 years of I&C engineering experience, preferably in oil & gas.
Experience with FEED projects and EPCM contracts.
Familiarity with international codes and standards for I&C engineering.
Strong knowledge of DCS, SIS, PLC, SCADA, and field instrumentation.
Proficiency with I&C software tools and applications.
Excellent problem-solving, organization, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead I&C engineering design and implementation through project phases, ensuring compliance with requirements and standards.
Develop and review I&C documents: datasheets, IO schedules, control narratives, safety requirements, and drawings.
Coordinate with process, mechanical, piping and electrical disciplines for integrated design.
Participate in design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP studies, and SIL assessments.
Mentor junior I&C engineers and manage budgets and schedules.
Liaise with clients and vendors to resolve technical issues.
