Job summary

Worley is seeking a senior Materials Engineer in Abu Dhabi to lead materials engineering across FEED, EPC and detailed design. You will develop selection strategies for process facilities, pipelines, offshore structures, and ensure safety, reliability and cost‑effectiveness in line with ADNOC standards.

You will review reports, specifications and vendor documentation, mentor a team of specialists, and collaborate across disciplines to resolve material-related issues on mega oil and gas projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent is required.
• At least 15 years in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industries with exposure to mega projects.
• ADNOC & Offshore project experience is required.
• PMC experience is preferred.
• Experience in FEED & EPC phases is required.
• Strong knowledge of material selection, corrosion engineering, metallurgy, coatings, and international standards (NACE, ASME, ASTM, API, ISO).
• Experience in preparing MSDs, CCDs, and material specifications for offshore/onshore facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all materials engineering activities during FEED, EPC and detailed engineering phases.
• Develop and implement material selection strategies for process facilities, pipelines, and offshore structures.
• Prepare and review material selection reports, corrosion studies, and material specifications.
• Review vendor documentation and technical bids to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Mentor and supervise a team of specialists and engineers.
• Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Piping, Civil, Inspection and Procurement disciplines.
