Job summary

Wood is seeking a Lead Materials and Corrosion Engineer to steer materials engineering consultancy across Wood's global client base. You will lead delivery, guide cathodic protection systems, corrosion control, and material selection for offshore and onshore projects, with a focus on safety, reliability, and value.

Based mostly in Wood offices, you may provide on-site support, collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams, mentor engineers, and drive technical excellence while supporting business

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering (minimum) or Master’s preferred
Chartered or professional engineer status preferred
Demonstrable CPD showing examples of technical and consulting development
For Cathodic Protection roles, qualifications comparable to NACE CP specialist or ISO 15257-2017 Level 4/5 (desirable)

Responsibilities

Define and approve technical scopes for projects.
Supervise delivery of complex engineering tasks.
Coordinate design reviews and technical bid evaluations.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to teams.

Education

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering

Chartered engineer status (preferred)

CPD evidence for technical/consulting development

NACE CP specialist / ISO 15257-2017 Level 4/5 (desirable)
