Job summary

Wood is seeking a Lead Engineer in Corrosion & Materials to deliver consultancy services to internal units and external clients across energy sectors. You will lead projects, provide technical leadership, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes onshore and offshore in the UAE.

The role requires senior expertise in corrosion management, materials selection, coatings, welding, and integrity assessments, with strong client engagement and delivery focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/materials/corrosion-related engineering.
• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is advantageous.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng), PE, CPEng or equivalent desirable.
• AMPP/NACE certifications including Senior Corrosion Technologist desirable.
• Cathodic Protection qualifications aligned with ISO 15257 desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution and delivery of corrosion and materials engineering projects.
• Develop and review corrosion management strategies, reports and RBI/FFS studies.
• Provide specialist expertise in corrosion, materials engineering, coatings and welding.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to proposals and business development.
• Ensure compliance with HSSE, standards and Wood procedures.
