Job summary

Wood is recruiting for Lead Material and Corrosion Engineer for ADNOC Offshore US LTPD project in Abu Dhabi. The role requires extensive offshore materials, corrosion expertise and oversight of API/ASME/DNV and ADNOC standards compliance.

The candidate will lead material selection, corrosion management plans, RBI activities, and liaise with EPC contractors and project teams to ensure safe, reliable integrity and timely project execution in the Gulf region.

Qualifications

15+ years of offshore oil & gas experience.
Experience with major operators/contractors (Kent, KBR, Worley, Petrofac, Saipem).
PMC experience is highly preferable.
Large-project Middle East/GCC experience with major clients.
Excellent written and verbal communication and leadership skills.
Knowledge of international codes and ADNOC standards.
Ability to coordinate with EPC contractors and project teams.

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise in all Materials and Corrosion.
Oversees material selection, corrosion control, and integrity management ensuring compliance with API, ASME, DNV and ADNOC standards.
Conduct RBI, auditing EPC contractor deliverables, and managing cathodic protection/coatings.
Regularly review contractors to ensure quality and compliance with codes and standards.
Prepare/review MSD, MSR, and Piping Material Specifications.
Develop CMP, IOW, and conduct corrosion modeling (ECE software).
Review and approve EPC contractor deliverables, TBE, and NMR.
Ensure compliance with ASME, API (579, 571), BS 7910, DNV, and ADNOC standards.
Conduct HAZOP/HAZID workshops, RBI, and troubleshoot site-specific corrosion issues.
