Job summary

SEHA Abu Dhabi is seeking a senior clinician to deliver evidence-based care, supervise junior staff, and coordinate inpatient and outpatient services within a multidisciplinary framework.

The role requires MBBS with a structured specialty training and a DOH license in Abu Dhabi; a postgraduate qualification is generally expected. Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred, with on-call duties included.

Qualifications

• Education: MBBS or equivalent with a structured specialty training and a postgraduate qualification (MD/MS/DNB).
• Experience: 3–7 years post-specialty in a multidisciplinary setting; DOH approval if gaps exist.
• Licensing: Eligibility for/holding a DOH license in Abu Dhabi; PSV verification; DOH license exam unless exempted; Good Standing certificate.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise delivery of evidence-based care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Conduct patient examinations, take histories, order tests, prescribe therapies, and develop treatment plans.
• Oversee junior medical staff and participate in instruction and supervision.
• Liaise with other specialties and participate in MDT meetings for holistic care.
• Provide on-call coverage on a rotational basis, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Document clinical information accurately and timely; comply with infection control and safety standards.
• Participate in audits, performance management, and risk management to improve outcomes.
• Communicate with patients and families, ensuring informed consent for procedures.
