Job summary

SEHA - Abu Dhabi Health Services Co. is seeking a Consultant Physician to lead and supervise high quality, evidence-based care. You will diagnose, manage and treat patients, provide leadership and training to junior staff, and participate in on-call coverage as required.

The role emphasizes clinical excellence, collaboration with specialties, and adherence to hospital policies. UAE nationals or expatriates with board certification are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Tier 1: NLT 2 years relevant experience as a consultant or equivalent post board certification.
• Tier 2: NLT 8 years full-time employment as a Consultant or equivalent post board certification (includes years in fellowship training) in internationally accredited institute.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and treats patients according to established standards of best practice for the post holder’s specialty.
• Oversees the clinical activities of the junior medical staff and assumes responsibility for the care they provide.
• Assists with scheduling and supports the Division Chief in ensuring adequate medical coverage.
• Leads ward rounds and reassesses inpatients and outpatients regularly.
• Ensures preparation of patients for procedures including obtaining informed consent.
• Participates in on‑call coverage on a rotational basis including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
