Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer in Abu Dhabi to provide technical expertise in all instrumentation design, ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, and coordinate with EPC contractors to meet project timelines.

You will review engineering deliverables, work with IPMT and operations teams, and support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, leveraging 15+ years of oil and gas instrumentation experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant oil and gas experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent technical team and interpersonal skills.
• Experience and detailed knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.
• Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and coordination for Instrumentation Engineering activities.
• Review and ensure Instrumentation design/compliance with ADNOC standards and codes.
• Coordinate with IPMT, EPC Contractor and site interfaces to resolve technical issues.
• Lead engineering reviews of deliverables and maintain design quality.
• Participate in design option development, optimization and validation.
• Assist during installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure integration of overall Instrumentation Engineering. Overall coordination within IPMT Instrumentation Engineering Team
• Ensure quality and accuracy of Engineering Consultant’s & EPC Contractor’s Instrumentation Engineering design activities
• Review and approval of Engineering Consultant's and EPC Contractor’s work and ensure compliance with ADNOC project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and best industry practices
• Coordinate the required engineering participation in the development and analysis of various design options and business models. Contribute input and expertise in the development and analysis of various design options and business models to design optimization and validation.
• Participate in teams for equipment sizing / equipment selection considering optimization and standardization.
• Ensure that the facilities are designed in accordance with the latest corporate guidelines with respect to environment and health aspects.
• Ensure full utilization of the existing facilities while optimizing the facilities required for the new projects.
• Participate in layout reviews, Model review, design reviews, and technical workshops.
• Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline engineers.
• Coordinate technical reviews and bid evaluation, and performance evaluation.
• Provide technical assistance during installation, pre-commissioning & commissioning
• Report to ADNOC Discipline Team Leader, Engineering Manager, and provide support to Project Managers and Engineers within the Project Management Team organization
• Interface with Managers, Team Leaders and Engineers in Company's Technical Departments, Business Units, Operations Units, and Logistics Department
• Interface regularly with Contractor’s Engineering and Project Management team and discipline engineers as and when required

Qualifications
