Job summary

Naffco is seeking a Senior Power Pack Design Engineer to lead hydraulic power pack development and its integration with vehicle chassis. You will translate specifications into safe, reliable, manufacturable designs, guiding concepts through drawings and prototype validation.

You will supervise design work, verify calculations, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant, on-time delivery and lifecycle cost considerations for complex power pack systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• Typically 8+ years of design engineering experience with hydraulic power packs or mobile equipment.
• Experience designing or integrating hydraulic systems with engine, cooling, transmission, brakes and axles.
• Strong CAD/drawing skills; ability to interpret customer specs and standards.
• Experience reviewing work and guiding design teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydraulic power pack design and system integration with vehicle chassis.
• Develop and optimize hydraulic power pack designs per specs and standards.
• Select and size pumps, motors, reservoirs, valves, manifolds and other components.
• Prepare and verify calculations, schematics, layouts, BOMs and drawings.
• Oversee prototype build, testing, and validation plans.
• Coordinate with product development, manufacturing and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Review designs and provide technical direction; enforce design practices and checks.
