Job summary

JAZAL ENGINEERING & CONTRACTING LLC in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced HSE professional to develop, review, and implement plans, procedures, method statements, risk assessments, and MSRA, and to conduct site inspections for TAQA projects.

The candidate should have 6–8 years in HSE, including 3+ years on TAQA power distribution, with OSH Diploma, NVQ Level 6, NEBOSH, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, and other relevant certs; a Bachelor’s degree is required, plus driving license.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  • 6–8 years of relevant HSE experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in TAQA projects, specifically within power distribution, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
  • Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health (OSH).
  • NVQ/Level 6 Occupational Health & Safety Qualification.
  • NEBOSH Certification.
  • ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Certificate.
  • Other relevant HSE training certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and implement HSE Plans, Procedures, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and MSRA.
  • Conduct regular site HSE inspections and monitoring activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare HSE inspection reports, observations, and corrective action recommendations.
  • Review HSE documentation and monitor compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to TAQA, ADOSH, and other regulatory HSE requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct workplace inspections to identify hazards and implement preventive measures.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Deliver safety awareness and training sessions on emergency response, hazard communication, ergonomics, and other relevant HSE topics.
  • Coordinate effectively with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain a strong safety culture.
