Job summary

STRUCTURAL is recruiting a General Superintendent to support projects across the UAE. The role drives high level field management for open shop crews, coordinating with project managers and leaders to ensure safe, efficient execution of concrete repair, masonry restoration, waterproofing and strengthening projects.

The successful candidate will lead pre-planning, assign tasks, monitor progress, and maintain strong client and team relationships while upholding a Safety 24/7 culture.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent. Bachelors degree in Construction management or related field may be preferred.
• 12 years of experience in general construction with at least 5 years in field management at Foreman or Assistant Superintendent level or above.
• Experience in general repair projects: concrete repair, structural strengthening, waterproofing, corrosion control, façade restoration.
• Experience running 3–8 projects simultaneously depending on size and complexity.
• Ability to manage various levels of field managers and oversee divisional field operations.
• Ability to read and execute construction drawings and contract specs; resolve discrepancies.
• Commitment to safety and operating principles; look-ahead schedules and construction documents.
• Strong communication with customers, crews and project teams; solid construction math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level field management to superintendents, foremen and open shop crews.
• Work with Project Managers and leaders; participate in pre-project and pre-task planning.
• Motivate teams, coordinate work, assign tasks based on material and labor needs.
• Ensure crews operate tools and equipment safely and productively.
• Provide training and assistance to field managers and crews.
• Assist Project Managers in evaluating production rates.
• Complete essential paperwork accurately.
• Interview and hire new field employees.
• Provide leadership to a Safety 24/7 culture.
