Job summary

Technology Innovation Institute seeks a Senior Software Engineer specializing in embedded security and real-time firmware. You will design and maintain firmware for tamper-detection systems on ARM Cortex‑M MCUs with Zephyr RTOS, focusing on secure boot, key management, and tamper responses.

You will also develop sensor acquisition pipelines, apply DSP techniques to distinguish tamper events from noise, and collaborate across hardware, security, and QA teams to ensure certification readiness.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in professional embedded software development, preferably in defense/security domains.
• Strong C/C++ on ARM Cortex‑M MCUs with RTOS experience.
• Hands-on Zephyr or similar RTOS with willingness to specialize in Zephyr.
• DSP and sensor signal processing experience required.
• Experience implementing secure boot, signed firmware, and OTA updates.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain real-time firmware on ARM Cortex‑M MCUs under Zephyr RTOS.
• Implement secure boot chains, signed images, and secure update mechanisms.
• Manage on‑device cryptographic keys and secure data zeroization on tamper events.
• Design sensor acquisition pipelines and apply DSP techniques for event detection.
• Integrate tamper‑protection firmware with host systems and enable secure communications.
• Lead firmware bring‑up on SoC platforms and perform platform debugging.
• Contribute to threat modeling, code reviews, and certification evidence.
