Job summary
NMDC in the United Arab Emirates seeks a senior drafting lead to plan and allocate work, review deliverables, and coordinate with engineering and project teams throughout the lifecycle. You will ensure timely, accurate, and compliant production of engineering drawings and provide guidance to the drafting group.
The role requires a Technical Diploma/Certificate in Engineering Drafting, CAD/3D modelling certification, and at least 10 years of drafting experience in industrial sectors.
Qualifications
- Technical Diploma/Certificate in Engineering Drafting or equivalent.
- Relevant CAD/3D modelling certification preferred.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in drafting/design within engineering, construction, marine, offshore or similar industries.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate drafting activities across projects to meet schedules and quality standards.
- Review scope, specs and requirements and translate into drafting work packages.
- Allocate work based on workload and project needs, ensuring timely delivery.
- Act as final drafting checker for accuracy, consistency and compliance.
- Coordinate with engineers to resolve queries and implement design changes.
- Prepare General Arrangement Drawings and 3D models as required.
- Ensure interfaces are properly integrated across disciplines.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to drafting personnel.
