Job summary

AgentixLake GmbH seeks an experienced data and AI platform engineer to own and advance production data foundations. You will lead engineering of cloud data platforms and lakehouse solutions, from source integration and modelling through deployment, tuning and reliable operation.

The role covers platform modernization, analytics engineering and DataOps across AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Snowflake and Google Cloud, choosing the stack to fit customer needs.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience delivering and operating production data platforms and making technical decisions.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with solid data modelling and distributed processing understanding.
• Deep experience in at least one major cloud environment (AWS, Snowflake, Databricks or Google Cloud) with ability to assess alternatives.
• Familiarity with tools like dbt, Airflow or Dagster, and with testing, Git, CI/CD and infrastructure automation.
• Ability to explain performance and cost trade-offs and communicate with technical and business stakeholders in English.
• Experience with Apache Iceberg, Spark, Kafka, Terraform or data foundations for AI agents is valuable; certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver batch or streaming pipelines that integrate databases, APIs, files and event sources.
• Build maintainable data models and transformations for analytics, governed metrics and AI applications.
• Implement lakehouse or warehouse architectures with appropriate storage, partitioning and processing strategies.
• Establish data quality tests, orchestration, lineage, monitoring and recovery procedures; investigate incidents and remove recurring causes.
• Manage infrastructure and deployments through version control, infrastructure as code and CI/CD with proper access controls.
• Lead technical delivery with customers and colleagues, review code and document decisions to operate and extend the platform.
