Job summary

Talent2, a leading HR outsourcing provider in the Asia-Pacific region, seeks a senior legal professional in Dubai to draft and negotiate contracts in English and Arabic, including international sales agreements and licensing. You will research laws, interpret legislation, and advise on compliance for diverse departments while coordinating with the Head of Legal.

Fluent English and Arabic are essential; French is welcome.

Qualifications

• University degree in law.
• Minimum 7 years relevant experience in an international and multicultural environment.
• Ability to report to Head of Legal on dispute status and recommended next steps.
• Ability to manage lawsuits and disputes in African and Middle Eastern countries.
• Ability to communicate legal recommendations to business professionals in ‘human’ language.

Responsibilities

• Prepare contract drafts in English and Arabic within requested commercial scope.
• Draft international sales contracts (sales & purchase, distributorship, joint venture, licensing).
• Research and provide proper legal advice related to business activities.
• Capture relevant legislation and interpret it correctly for the company.
• Identify internal and external legal risks impacting the business.
• Work with Legal Department to ensure activities are legally compliant.

Job description

• Prepare contract drafts in English and Arabic within requested commercial scope.
• Specific experience in drafting international sales related contracts such as sale & purchase agreements, distributorship agreements, joint venture and other commercial cooperation agreements, trademark licensing agreements.
• Research and proper legal advises in relation to the business activities of the Company.
• Capture of relevant legislation to the business activities of the Company and correct interpretation of such legislation. Comparative law belongs to your domain of interest.
• In close cooperation with Legal Department of the company:
• 1. To secure that various business activities of the Company performed by the different Departments] Sections are (legally) compliant;
• 2. To identify internal and external (legal) risks which have or might have an impact on the business.

• Ability to efficiently report to Head of Legal of the organization on dispute status and recommended next steps.
• After consultation with Head of Legal of the company and in cooperation with local counsel, ability to manage laws suits and other disputes in African and Middle Eastern countries.
• Ability to report on a regular basis to the board of directors of the Company and to communicate within the Company with sales, engineering,... professionals with no legal background, including, ability to conduct in house legal fact finding & communicating legal recommendations to business professionals in ‘human’ language.
• Excellent communication (presentation, negotiation, influencing) skills, both spoken, written English and Arabic.
• French is welcome.
• Familiar with standard Microsoft tools such as Excel, Power point and Word.
• Ability to speak French is a plus.
