Job summary

Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort is seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to efficiently process guest and hotel laundry in accordance with SOPs. You will operate commercial laundry equipment, sort by fabric, handle chemicals safely, and support the housekeeping team to ensure timely delivery of clean linen.

Ideal candidates have previous laundry experience, strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in laundry operations.
• Knowledge of laundry procedures, including washing, drying, pressing, folding, and sorting.
• Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment safely.
• Basic knowledge of different fabrics, detergents, and stain-removal methods.
• Good attention to detail and ability to identify stains, damages, and missing items.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and handle laundry loads.
• Good time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow health, safety, hygiene, and chemical-handling procedures.
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a service-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Process guest and hotel laundry quickly and accurately per item SOPs.
• Store, handle, and use chemicals safely to protect staff.
• Operate commercial laundry equipment safely.
• Sort linen by use and colour.
• Collect laundry from guest rooms promptly.
• Sort collected items for dry cleaning, pressing or washing.
• Verify guest laundry is properly processed before delivery.
• Deliver laundry to rooms respecting guest 'Do Not Disturb' requests.
• Provide billing details to cashier before end of shift.
• Assist colleagues and perform other related hotel duties.
• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.

• To ensure that all guest and other hotel laundry is processed quickly and efficiently, in line with the laundry requirements of each item and the SOP’s of the hotel, keeping all item clean and in good condition.
• To ensure the safe storage, care and use of any chemicals, to protect themselves and colleagues from incorrect or dangerous usage.
• Use the laundry machines in line with their operating instructions, taking account of weight restrictions, and other requirements.
• Separate all linen to be washed with other items of similar use and colour.
• Quickly collect all items of laundry from guest rooms as required.
• Separate collected Guest Laundry to be dry cleaned, pressed or washed and send to the section concerned.
• Prior to delivering guest laundry back to the room - check all guest laundry items have been properly processed.
• Deliver guest Laundry to rooms, taking account of ‘Do Not Disturb’ requirements of the guest.
• Provide billing details to the cashiering department before the end of the shift.
• Help colleagues with any job assignments, and assist with and perform any other related hotel duty that may be assigned.
• Performing related duties and special projects as assigned.
