Job summary

Confidential in Dubai is seeking a Mid-Level Landscape Architect to support concept through construction stages and to deliver high-quality technical documentation. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, review submittals, and ensure compliance with authority regulations and budgets.

The role requires strong design development skills, construction detailing, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture.
• 5-8 years' professional experience in Landscape Architecture.
• Strong experience in detailed design, technical documentation, and construction support.
• Middle East experience preferred.
• Proven experience in landscape construction detailing and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Familiarity with local authority requirements and approval processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed landscape design packages from schematic design through tender and IFC stages.
• Develop landscape construction details, sections, elevations, schedules, and technical drawings.
• Produce hardscape, softscape, irrigation, grading, and landscape construction documentation.
• Review design information and ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate technical design deliverables with project programmes and milestones.
• Ensure consistency with company drafting standards, procedures, and project requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of technical specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other disciplines; participate in coordination meetings.
• Review consultant and contractor submissions for technical compliance.
• Assist in managing RFIs, technical queries, design revisions, and changes.
• Support project teams in timely delivery of landscape design documentation aligning with client requirements.

JOB PURPOSE

To support the technical development, coordination, and delivery of landscape projects from concept validation through detailed design, tender, and construction stages. The Mid-Level Landscape Architect shall be responsible for producing and coordinating high-quality technical documentation, specifications, construction details, schedules, and design packages while ensuring compliance with project requirements, authority regulations, quality standards, budgets, and programme objectives.

The role requires a strong understanding of landscape construction methodologies, material applications, planting design implementation, multidisciplinary coordination and supervision of construction works as well as review of construction submittals to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining the original design intent.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES LINKED TO OBJECTIVES

Technical Design & Documentation

• Prepare detailed landscape design packages from schematic design through tender and IFC stages.
• Develop landscape construction details, sections, elevations, schedules, and technical drawings.

Design Coordination & Project Delivery

• Coordinate with architects, urban designers, civil engineers, structural engineers, MEP consultants, irrigation specialists, and other disciplines. Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings and technical workshops.
• Resolve design clashes and technical interface issues during design development.
• Review consultant and contractor submissions for technical compliance.
• Assist in managing RFIs, technical queries, design revisions, and design changes.
• Support project teams in achieving timely delivery of landscape design documentation monitoring the project deliverables and aligning with client requirements, project objectives, and authority regulations.

Technical Quality, Buildability & Value Engineering

• Develop technically sound and buildable landscape solutions while preserving project design intent.
• Evaluate material selections, construction methods, and landscape elements for durability, maintainability, and long‑term performance.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with constructability and project execution.
• Support cost‑effective design solutions while maintaining quality and performance standards.

Construction Support & Site Coordination

• Provide technical support during tendering and construction stages.
• Review and respond to shop drawings, material submittals, samples, and method statements, RFIs by the Contractor
• Conduct site inspections and monitor implementation of landscape works.
• Prepare site observation or non‑compliance reports and identify corrective actions where required.
• Participate in progress meetings and coordinate technical resolutions with project stakeholders.
• Assist in snagging, punch list preparation, and project close‑out activities.

Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

• Work closely with Senior Landscape Architects to ensure delivery of technically robust design solutions.
• Assist junior team members with technical guidance and best practices.
• Participate in technical reviews and lessons‑learned workshops.
