Job summary

Duncan & Ross is seeking a senior landscape professional to lead end-to-end landscape activities for residential and mixed-use developments in Dubai. You will oversee planning, design coordination, procurement, construction, and handover, ensuring project alignment with client requirements and regulatory standards.

The role requires 14+ years of experience in landscape management, strong leadership, and hands-on expertise in hardscape, softscape, irrigation and BIM coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Horticulture, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 14 years of experience in landscape management for residential and mixed-use development projects.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale landscape and public realm projects from design through construction and handover.
• Strong knowledge of hardscape, softscape, irrigation systems, grading, external works and sustainable landscape practices.
• Excellent understanding of landscape construction methodologies, materials, specifications and quality standards.
• Strong project management, budgeting, and contract administration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead landscape activities across project lifecycles for residential and mixed-use developments.
• Oversee planning, design coordination, procurement, construction and handover.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, urban planners, infrastructure and MEP teams.
• Review landscape designs, shop drawings, submittals, planting plans and irrigation layouts.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, regulations, environmental standards and quality.
• Manage schedules, budget, resources and contractor performance to ensure timely delivery.
• Drive value engineering to optimize landscape solutions while maintaining design intent.
• Monitor progress with site inspections and resolve technical issues.
• Oversee contractors, subcontractors and suppliers for compliance and safety.
• Oversee irrigation, hardscape, softscape, site furnishings and external public realm elements.
• Ensure testing, commissioning, defect resolution and final handover.
• Prepare progress reports, risk assessments and management presentations.
• Mentor landscape teams for high performance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all landscape activities throughout the lifecycle of residential and mixed-use development projects.
• Oversee landscape planning design coordination procurement construction and project handover.
• Coordinate with clients consultants architects urban planners infrastructure and MEP teams to ensure seamless project integration.
• Review and approve landscape designs shop drawings material submittals planting plans irrigation layouts and technical specifications.
• Ensure landscape works comply with project requirements local regulations environmental standards and quality requirements.
• Manage project schedules budgets resources and contractor performance to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Lead value engineering initiatives to optimize landscape solutions while maintaining design intent and quality.
• Monitor construction progress through regular site inspections and resolve technical and operational issues.
• Manage landscape contractors subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
• Oversee irrigation systems hardscape works softscape installation site furnishings and external public realm elements.
• Ensure successful testing commissioning of irrigation systems defect resolution and final project handover.
• Prepare project progress reports risk assessments and presentations for senior management.
• Mentor and develop landscape engineering and site teams fostering high performance and continuous improvement.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture Civil Engineering Horticulture or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 14 years of experience in landscape management with significant experience in residential and mixed-use development projects.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale landscape and public realm projects from design through construction and handover.
• Strong knowledge of hardscape softscape irrigation systems grading external works and sustainable landscape practices.
• Excellent understanding of landscape construction methodologies materials specifications and quality standards.
• Strong project management planning budgeting and contract administration skills.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams consultants contractors and stakeholders.
• Strong leadership communication negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software; familiarity with AutoCAD Revit Civil 3D and BIM coordination is an advantage.
• Knowledge of local authority regulations environmental standards and sustainability requirements.
• Professional certifications or membership in relevant engineering or landscape organizations are considered an advantage.
