Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Land Surveyor to support surveying and construction supervision on a large-scale infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. You will establish and verify survey control points, check contractor setting-out activities, and monitor alignments to ensure compliance with drawings and project specifications.

You will coordinate with Resident Engineers and other teams for precise as-built surveys and handover.

Responsibilities

• Establish, verify, and maintain project survey control points, benchmarks, coordinates, and reference levels.
• Review IFC drawings and shop drawings before surveying and setting-out activities.
• Verify setting-out information against approved engineering documentation.
• Check horizontal and vertical alignments, coordinates, gradients, slopes, and offsets.
• Confirm survey reference information aligns with project requirements and contractor settings.
• Identify discrepancies between drawings, site conditions, and contractor data.
• Report surveying discrepancies to engineers and supervision personnel.
• Perform and verify setting-out for roads, utilities, pipelines, manholes, and related infrastructure.
• Check surveying data for structures, kerbs, street lighting, and landscaping works.
• Verify excavation levels, formation levels, and finished construction levels.
• Inspect road layer levels and finished elevations against requirements.
• Support with AS-built surveys and project handover activities.
• Maintain accurate field books, survey records, and coordinate schedules.
• Ensure survey instruments are calibrated and maintained according to certificates.
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC, HSE, and authority requirements.
