Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Land Surveyor for our marine and infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. You will carry out land and construction surveying, establish project controls, and verify surveys against drawings to support on-site delivery.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Surveying or related fields, with strong Total Station, GPS/GNSS, AutoCAD skills, and UAE experience preferred. You will collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and site teams while operating various

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in land surveying and construction surveying.
• Experience in marine and infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Strong experience with setting out, as-built surveys, topographic surveys, and construction measurements.
• Proficient in Total Station, GPS/GNSS, AutoCAD, and relevant surveying software.
• Good knowledge of coordinate systems, levels, benchmarks, and survey control.
• UAE experience is preferred.
• Good communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out land and construction surveying activities for marine and infrastructure works.
• Establish and maintain project control points, benchmarks, coordinates, and levels.
• Conduct topographic, setting-out, as-built, and verification surveys.
• Set out roads, utilities, earthworks, structures, foundations, and other infrastructure works.
• Carry out surveys for marine works, including reclamation, rock placement, revetments, marine edge protection, and related works.
• Verify line, level, alignment, coordinates, dimensions, and elevations against approved drawings.
• Conduct quantity and progress surveys and support measurement of completed works.
• Prepare and review survey reports, as-built drawings, and survey records.
• Coordinate with the Engineer, Contractor, Geotechnical Engineer, Marine Inspector, and site teams to resolve survey-related issues.
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment, including Total Station, GNSS/GPS, digital levels, and other relevant equipment.
• Check and verify survey data and ensure accurate recording and documentation.
• Monitor survey activities and ensure compliance with project requirements and approved procedures.
