Job summary

Rixos Bab Al Bahr in Ras Al Khaimah seeks a Recreation Specialist to develop, plan, and oversee a range of community services and programs, including events and contracted services.

You will establish schedules, identify resources, and collaborate with teams to implement policies, monitor activities, and prepare publicity and reports. This role also involves coordinating staff, procuring supplies, and ensuring high-quality guest experiences across our resort's recreational offerings.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, organize, implement and evaluate recreation programs.
• Include special events and contract services.
• Establish schedules and methods for providing recreation services.
• Identify resource needs.
• Participate in development of goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
• Make recommendations for changes to existing standards and procedures.
• Participate in implementation of policies and monitor activities.
• Prepare community event and recreation publicity.
• Coordinate referral systems and seasonal brochures.
• Disseminate recreation and community service publicity.
• Identify community needs and recommend appropriate programs.
• Prepare periodic reports; maintain files and records.
• Conduct and supervise special events; develop contracts and hire instructors.
• Maintain and design the online recreation registration program.
• Serve as staff liaison on committees and subcommittees as assigned.
• Prepare purchase requisitions; order supplies and materials.
• Participate in selection of part-time recreation staff; provide training.
• Respond to complaints and requests for information.
• Responsible for Recreation part of info desk.

Job Description

Participate in the development of goals and objectives as well as policies and procedures; make recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards, policies, and procedures.

Participate in the implementation of approved policies and procedures; monitor work activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

Prepare community event and recreation publicity; coordinate referral systems and the publication of seasonal brochures; coordinate the dissemination of recreation and community service publicity.

Conduct and supervise special events; develop contracts and hire contracted instructors.
