Job summary

UL LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking a lab technician to set up, operate, and adapt laboratory test equipment for client projects. You will perform tests according to approved plans and standards, examine samples, and record results with supervision as needed.

The role requires effective communication with customers, teamwork, and the ability to introduce automation into day-to-day testing. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is essential; previous experience with defining test methods is a plus.

Qualifications

• Higher Secondary Education plus three years related experience preferred.
• Effective communication skills and ability to interact with customers.
• Proven ability to be innovative and creative.
• Desire to work in a team-oriented environment. Ability to use Microsoft Office suite is a must. Ability to incorporate automation into day-to-day testing.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and assist in adapting laboratory test equipment and test arrangements as required for client projects and approved test plans.
• Perform tests in accordance with valid test procedures, approved test plans, applicable standards, limit values, severity levels, and defined evaluation criteria.
• Examines test samples and reads blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, measuring instruments, and operational instructions.
• Follows basically defined test plans and datasheets and evaluates test performance.
• Records and explains test results and completes test report.
• May direct staff in test setups and communicate with clients during test setups to discuss test methods and/or test results.
• Maintains knowledge of relevant testing standards and procedures.
