Job summary

Ceenex Global Technology in the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, seeks an L2 Systems Support Engineer to maintain and troubleshoot the physical and virtual infrastructure in a Microsoft Data Center environment.

The role combines hands-on hardware management with OS, hypervisor, and storage system support to ensure high availability and adherence to SLA targets. Experience in data center operations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with L2 systems and infrastructure support in data center environments.
• Proficient in Windows Server, Hyper-V and Linux OS administration.
• Experience with backups, disaster recovery and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support physical and virtual systems infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot OS, hypervisor, and storage issues to maintain high availability.
• Monitor system health using SCOM or Azure Monitor and resolve bottlenecks.
• Manage backups and replication jobs and execute recovery procedures.
• Racking, stacking and securing blade servers and storage in data centers.
• Perform physical diagnostics and component replacements.
• Route and label cabling, perform fiber cleaning and scope if needed.
• Handle media disposal according to data handling procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• L2 Systems amp Infrastructure Support
• Core L2 OS amp Hypervisor Administration
• Assist with provisioning configuring and troubleshooting Windows Server Hyper-V and Linux environments
• Storage amp Virtualization Management Monitor troubleshoot and perform basic zoning allocation on SAN NAS storage arrays and Azure-integrated hybrid storage
• Incident amp Problem Management Diagnose and resolve medium-to-complex server hardware operating system and virtualization layer failures
• Data Center Automation amp Monitoring Monitor system health using tools like System Center SCOM or Azure Monitor identify and resolve performance bottlenecks CPU memory disk I O
• Backup amp Disaster Recovery Manage verify and troubleshoot system backups and replication jobs initiating recovery procedures when required
• Hands-on amp Essential Support Racking amp Stacking Install mount and secure physical blade servers storage shelves and enclosure chassis in compliance with Microsoft Data Center structured cabling standards
• Physical Diagnostics Smart Hands Perform component-level replacements swapping failed RAM hot-swappable hard drives power supply units PSUs and cooling fans
• Physical Cabling amp Labeling Route copper Cat6 and fiber optic single-mode multi-mode patch cords through cable managers perform fiber cleaning and scoping
• Media Handling amp Disposal Follow strict Microsoft data-bearing media HDD SSD handling declassification and shredding procedures
