Job summary

MAGNOOS Information Systems in Dubai seeks a Kubernetes Administrator to support a key client engagement, focusing on container orchestration, DevOps practices, and big data workloads.

The role requires hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, GitLab CI/CD, and Python environments, plus strong client-facing communication. A Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE and S3-compatible storage familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or related field required.
• Experience with Kubernetes administration and containerization.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, proxies, ingress/egress).
• Experience with big data ecosystems and workload management.
• Familiarity with DevOps pipelines (GitLab) and infrastructure automation.
• Experience with Python environments and dependency management.
• Knowledge of SSL management, secrets and configuration management.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and client-communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting & Support: diagnose and resolve platform issues to maintain stability and performance.
• Incidents: raise, track, and manage tickets for platform incidents or service requests.
• Client Interaction: engage with client teams to discuss issues and provide updates.
• Kubernetes & Container Management: build/manage Docker images, Quay registry, K8S components, Helm deployments.
• Python Environment Management: set up and manage Python virtual environments.
• Big Data Components: work with Spark, Airflow, Hive, HDFS and queue management.
• Networking: manage DNS, proxies, and environment variables.
• Security & Access Management: manage SSL certificates and permissions; database permissions.
• Object Storage: familiarity with S3-compatible systems (e.g. Dell ECS).
• DevOps & CI/CD: experience with GitLab pipelines and workflows.
• System Services: manage daemons and service health across platforms.
