Job summary

DISCOVERED seeks an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to drive the deployment, automation, and operational lifecycle of a Kubernetes and OpenShift platform in a high-scale enterprise environment.

You will own deployment, upgrades, and IaC provisioning, resolve complex platform bottlenecks, harden multi-tenant environments, and guide junior engineers while collaborating with DevOps teams to streamline the developer experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years direct, hands-on experience administering, upgrading, and operating production-grade Kubernetes or OpenShift clusters at scale.
• At least 1–2 years in a senior engineering capacity within a large infrastructure or platform division.
• Deep understanding of Linux systems administration, enterprise storage integrations, and scripting languages (Bash, Python).

Responsibilities

• Own deployment, configuration, upgrading, and maintenance of high-scale Kubernetes and OpenShift environments.
• Develop and maintain robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to provision and scale enterprise cluster platforms.
• Dive deep into resolving complex platform, networking (CNI), storage allocation, and application orchestration bottlenecks in production.
• Harden multi-tenant platform environments to align with security baselines and runbooks.
• Provide technical direction to junior team members while collaborating with DevOps teams to streamline the developer experience.
