Job summary

Epicure Studio in Dubai seeks an experienced Kitchen Steward to maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment and utensils. You will support the kitchen team with sanitation, waste disposal and dishwashing duties, ensuring compliance with hygiene standards.

The role requires physical stamina and attention to detail in a fast-paced hotel or restaurant environment. One year of relevant experience, Basic Food Hygiene Training, and a valid Food Handlers Card are needed.

Qualifications

• One year of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Capable of carrying a minimum of 10 kg of goods.
• Completed Basic Food Hygiene Training and holds a valid Food Handlers Card (as per UAE regulations).

Responsibilities

• Clean designated areas of the kitchen and facility, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning ceiling vents.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other kitchen equipment.
• Segregate and remove trash and garbage, ensuring proper disposal in designated containers.
• Steam-clean or hose out garbage cans to maintain cleanliness.
• Sort and dispose of bottles, ensuring recyclables are placed in the appropriate containers.
• Hand-wash pots, pans, trays, and other kitchen utensils as needed.
• Scrape food residue from dirty dishes and glasses, wash by hand, and place in racks for dishwashing.
• Polish glasses after washing using a clean, dry cloth.
• Organize chinaware and silverware in designated cabinets.
• Transfer supplies, products, and equipment between storage and work areas as required.
• Assist in setting up dining tables when necessary.
• Wash and peel vegetables, using either a knife or peeler machine.
• Perform any additional duties or tasks as assigned by the direct manager or supervisor.

Candidates should have prior experience working in a kitchen operation, have good communication skills, and have a keen eye to detail.
