Job summary

Qualifications

• High school Diploma required.
• Experience in kitchen ops or food service is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Good verbal and written communication with customers, management and colleagues.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments to completion.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen tools using manual or dishwashing equipment.
• Ensure proper storage of food items, ingredients, and kitchen supplies.
• Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries of food and kitchen supplies.
• Dispose of waste and maintain clean waste disposal areas.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Help with arranging ingredients and preparing kitchen stations before food preparation.
• Perform other kitchen support duties as assigned by chefs or supervisors.
