Job summary

Nehal Hotel in Abu Dhabi is seeking a diligent Kitchen Helper to support chefs with food prep, cleaning and general kitchen duties. You will help maintain hygiene, stock, and equipment, ensuring smooth daily operations in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years UAE experience, holds an Emirates Food Safety Training certificate, and works well in a team while staying punctual and reliable.

Qualifications

About the Role:

Nehal Hotel, Abu Dhabi, is looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation, cleaning, and general kitchen support to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist chefs in basic food preparation (washing, cutting, peeling, portioning ingredients)
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
• Wash dishes, pots, and kitchen tools
• Properly store food items and manage kitchen stock
• Dispose of kitchen waste as per hygiene standards
• Support chefs during peak hours and event preparations
• Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures at all times
• Report any equipment issues or shortages to the supervisor

Requirements:

• Minimum 1–2 years of UAE experience in a similar kitchen helper role (mandatory)
• Valid EFST (Emirates Food Safety Training) Certificate required
• Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
• Team player with good communication skills
• Punctual and well-disciplined
