Job summary

Anantara Hotels & Resorts in Downtown Dubai is seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance professional to manage HVAC, refrigeration, chillers, boilers, and related plant equipment. You will perform testing, maintenance, and on‑the‑job training to uphold hotel standards.

Responsibilities include attending to equipment repairs, ensuring HACCP and Safety records are up to date, being on call for emergencies, supervising tools, contractors, and on-site deliveries, and contributing to energy

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and laundry equipment, chillers, AC, boilers, pumps, and related plant equipment.
• Attend to, repair, and maintain refrigeration equipment, walk-in coolers, freezers, ovens, etc.
• Ensure HACCP standards and Health & Safety records are logged and maintained.
• Be on call for equipment/plant emergencies and carry out PPM checks.
• Carry out air-conditioning and refrigeration system management and servicing.
• Participate in the hotel's energy conservation and sustainability programs.
• Attend on-the-job training in accordance with departmental standards and procedures.
• Supervise the issue of tools and ensure their safe return.
• Oversee contractors on site, including safety induction and maintaining records of all jobs undertaken.
• Accept deliveries in a timely manner and supervise maintenance team and external contractors.
• Ensure Health & Safety records are up to date and form part of the Fire Team for emergencies.
• Monitor utility readings to ensure effective power management and stay aware of regulatory changes.
• Carry out other work as required and be available as needed.
• Oversee the team's and contractors' work to meet deadlines and standards.

• Attend to, repair, and maintain refrigeration equipment, chillers, walk‑in coolers, freezers, ovens, etc.
• Ensure HACCP standards and Health & Safety legislation records are logged and maintained.
• Be on call for any equipment/plant emergencies and carry out PPM checks.
• Carry out all air‑conditioning and refrigeration system management and servicing.
• Participate in the hotel's energy conservation and sustainability programs.
• Attend all on‑the‑job training in accordance with departmental standards and procedures.
• Supervise the issue of tools relating to the Engineering Department and ensure their safe return.
• Be responsible for contractors working on site, including safety induction and maintaining records of all jobs undertaken.
• Accept deliveries in an appropriate and timely manner.
• Supervise the maintenance team and any external contractors employed by the hotel to carry out maintenance work.
• Ensure that all Health & Safety records are kept up to date.
• Form part of the Fire Team and assist in any emergencies that may arise.
• Monitor utility readings for the hotel to ensure effective power management.
• Stay aware of changes in regulations and environmental issues.
• Carry out other work that may reasonably be required and be available as needed.
• Oversee the team's and contractors' work to ensure deadlines are met and work is completed to the required standard.
