Job summary

Jumeirah Al Naseem, part of Jumeirah and Dubai Holding, is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to join its luxury kitchen team. You will assist in supervising kitchen staff, support menu planning, and ensure high standards across all preparation and service.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in a five-star international chain in Europe or Asia, completed kitchen apprenticeship, strong cooking technique knowledge, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a five-star international chain (Europe/Asia) in a Chef De Partie role.
• Completed kitchen apprenticeship or chef's training for at least one year.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising kitchen staff and ensure adherence to standards and procedures.
• Participate in daily meetings with senior chefs to discuss menus and operational plans.
• Support menu and recipe planning, including testing samples and maintaining accurate specifications.
• Monitor and maintain cooking standards, correcting methods when necessary to ensure quality.
• Plan and review staff rosters, manage overtime, holidays, and absenteeism in coordination with senior chefs.
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and hygiene by liaising with the Chief Steward and enforcing standards.
