Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to support the Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency. You will supervise and guide the culinary team, ensuring HACCP compliance and efficient service.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in a luxury hotel kitchen, strong food safety knowledge, and the ability to lead under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Culinary qualification or diploma in Professional Cookery, Culinary Arts, or related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years in a high-volume or luxury hotel kitchen, including supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, international cuisines, and HACCP standards.
• Proven ability to lead a team, work under pressure, and maintain quality in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Supervise and guide the culinary team during shifts, coaching junior colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
• Monitor food preparation, portions, and stock levels to minimize waste and maintain cost efficiency.
• Assist in menu development and recipe implementation, creating dishes aligned with brand standards.
• Take responsibility for kitchen operations in the absence of the Sous Chef.
