Job summary

Boskalis is seeking a Junior RPA Developer to join the Abu Dhabi office. You will contribute to designing, developing, testing, and supporting UiPath-based automation that improves operational efficiency across the organization.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and other developers in an international environment, taking ownership of automation opportunities and ensuring robust delivery and documentation. The role is full-time and based in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience in operations, process support, IT support, automation support, or similar business-focused roles.
• Experience with process improvement, automation, and digital solutions.
• Relevant experience with RPA or a strong interest in developing RPA automations, preferably with UiPath.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, testing, and maintenance of UiPath RPA automations.
• Identify automation opportunities in operational processes together with business stakeholders.
• Gather and document business requirements and help translate them into functional process designs.
• Support the implementation of new or changed automations.
• Monitor and support existing automations, including troubleshooting and resolving operational issues.
• Work closely with business users, IT colleagues, and other RPA developers to improve process efficiency and automation stability.
• Contribute to process standardization, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Description

You will make your mark by supporting business colleagues in identifying, improving, and automating operational processes. In this role, you will help develop software solutions by contributing to the design, development, testing, and support of RPA automations. You will be working from our Abu Dhabi office and will be part of our Integration and Automation team, based in the Netherlands. The RPA Developer team is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining automation workflows and RPA solutions that support the business across Boskalis. As a Junior RPA Developer, you will contribute to the delivery and support of automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and process quality. With your operational mindset and professional experience, you understand business processes well and help translate day-to-day business needs into practical automation opportunities. Because RPA is used across many parts of Boskalis, you will work with different departments and gain broad exposure to business processes throughout the organization.

Your Responsibilities As a Junior RPA Developer

• Support the development, testing, and maintenance of UiPath RPA automations.

Your qualities

• 5+ years of work experience in operations, process support, IT support, automation support, or similar business-focused roles.
• Experience with process improvement, automation, and digital solutions.
• Relevant experience with RPA or a strong interest in developing RPA automations, preferably with UiPath.
• Experience with additional UiPath capabilities such as Test Automation, Document Understanding, and Agentic AI is considered a plus.
• A bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A good command of written and spoken English.
• The ability to work independently and in an international environment.
• A practical, hands-on mindset with strong attention to detail.
• A strong sense of responsibility, flexibility, and eagerness to learn.
