We are seeking a motivated and technically strong Junior Process Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Chemical Engineering with an interest in process simulation, computational modelling, clean energy technologies, numerical methods, and data-driven engineering.
This role is suitable for fresh postgraduates as well as candidates with up to 5 years of relevant experience. Candidates with strong research, thesis, programming, modelling, or simulation experience are particularly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Support process engineering studies, simulations, calculations, and technical assessments.
- Develop and analyse process models using appropriate engineering and computational tools.
- Assist in process design, optimisation, troubleshooting, and performance improvement studies.
- Carry out engineering calculations and numerical analysis related to chemical and process systems.
- Develop scripts, computational models, and engineering tools using Python, C++, or similar programming languages.
- Analyse engineering data and apply statistical and data-driven modelling techniques.
- Support research and development activities related to emerging engineering and energy technologies.
- Assist in developing and validating numerical models and simulation tools.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, calculations, and engineering documentation.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams on engineering projects.
- Keep up to date with developments in process engineering, digitalisation, AI/ML, and clean energy technologies.
Preferred Technical Areas
Candidates with exposure to one or more of the following areas will be preferred:
- Process simulation and computer-aided process design
- Numerical modelling and simulation
- Hydrogen and clean energy technologies
- Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS)
- Biofuels and alternative energy
- Energy transition and decarbonisation
- Data science and engineering analytics
- Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning applied to engineering
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum: M.Tech / M.E. in Chemical Engineering from a reputed university with a strong academic record.
- M.S. / Ph.D. candidates are also welcome.
- B.E./B.Tech candidates may be considered if they demonstrate exceptional academic performance and strong project/research and programming experience.
- Experience: Fresh postgraduates to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong thesis, dissertation, research project, publication, or industrial project involving analytical, mathematical, modelling, or simulation work is highly desirable.
Desired Skills
- Strong fundamentals in Chemical Engineering and Process Engineering.
- Good knowledge of process modelling and simulation principles.
- Strong programming skills, particularly Python and/or C++.
- Knowledge of numerical methods, statistics, and data-driven modelling.
- Ability to develop or modify engineering models and computational tools.
- Exposure to AI/ML applications in engineering is an advantage.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within multidisciplinary teams.
