Job summary

dnata in Dubai is hiring a Junior Maintenance Technician to support Technicians in all scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance, servicing, fault-finding, and repairs on equipment, vehicles, and plant across dnata Technical Services workshops.

You will plan daily tasks, maintain workshop housekeeping, assist in diagnosing faults, and ensure logs are updated with safety procedures followed. You will also assist with approved maintenance standards, inspections, and ULD repair activities.

• Experience in facilities, maintenance, auto/electric/mechanical roles.

In This Role, You Will

As a Junior Maintenance Technician, you will provide the required support to Technicians and assist in carrying out all scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance, servicing, fault-finding, and repair activities on all equipment, vehicles, and plant maintained by various dnata Technical Services workshops. This includes housekeeping and ad hoc tasks as assigned.

• Plan individual tasks on a daily basis within your area of work.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the workshop and other work areas, and take proper care of tools.
• Assist in diagnosing and repairing faults and defects on equipment, vehicles, and plant under breakdown conditions, ensuring downtime is minimized.
• Ensure that all work-related activities carried out during the shift are recorded in the logbook and work order to support planning staff in logging details of work completed in the Maintenance Management System, and that standard safety procedures are followed during maintenance activities to prevent personal injury and damage to equipment, vehicles, and plant.
• Inform the Maintenance Technician and Senior Maintenance Technician of any spare parts and tools required to ensure the timely completion of all maintenance work.
• Assist in carrying out scheduled maintenance in accordance with established standards, including manufacturer recommendations, ISO certification requirements, safety standards, and all legal and regulatory requirements, on various equipment, vehicles, and plant to ensure their reliable and optimum utilization.
• Assist in the daily inspection of all equipment, vehicles, and plant to ensure operational reliability and safety, support the planning of corrective maintenance, and help prevent accidents in the operational area.
• Execute all allocated tasks related to ULD repair and assembly activities in accordance with the procedures specified in the MOE, manufacturer recommendations, EASA/GCAA regulations, and safety standards.

Qualification

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

• Experience in Facilities, Maintenance, Auto Mechanic, or Electric Mechanic roles.
• 2 year Trade Certificate in an Engineering discipline.
• Experience in maintenance within a large organization, ideally in the aviation ground support and/or cargo handling industry.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, automobile, air-conditioning, and refrigeration systems of light vehicles or material handling equipment/systems.
• Experience in the maintenance of Ground Support Equipment or Heavy Vehicles would be an advantage.
• Specialized training in hydraulics, lifting equipment, conveyor systems, material handling equipment, PLCs, AC/DC motor control systems, traction batteries, and chargers would be an advantage.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• UAE Driving Licence or Home Country Driving Licence.
• Valid licence for operating equipment (ADP).
• Good understanding of the MOE, EASA/GCAA regulations, and safety standards required at the ULD Workshop.
