Job summary

Daman Investments, Dubai, is seeking a Finance Assistant to support the Financial Planning Manager and the broader Finance team in budgeting, planning, reporting, and analysis across diverse sectors in the UAE.

You will assist in preparing budgets, consolidating reports, and conducting variance analysis, while maintaining templates and trackers. Strong MS Office skills and attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Professional qualification or progress towards CFA/ACCA/CMA/CPA is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with accounting and reporting systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in budgets, forecasts, and financial plans across units.
• Support consolidation of monthly, quarterly, annual management reports.
• Prepare variance analysis and highlight key drivers.
• Maintain financial planning templates, models, schedules, and trackers.
• Prepare routine and ad-hoc financial reports and dashboards.
• Collect, organise, verify financial data from various sources.
• Maintain records of financial information and supporting documentation.
• Assist with board and committee packs, formatting and proofreading.
• Support reconciliations of accounts, bank statements, intercompany balances.
• Track operating expenses against budgets and flag deviations.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders for inputs for planning cycles.
