Job summary

Ghobash Group in Abu Dhabi seeks a Proposals Engineer to review RFQs, develop process designs, prepare technical and commercial bid documentation, and ensure compliance with tender specs.

The role involves cost sheets, BOQs, coordination with vendors, and timely bid submission; fluency in English and strong MS Office skills required; experience with water/wastewater tech preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Chemical / Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• 35 years of proven experience in preparing proposals for water and wastewater treatment projects.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs RFPs tender documents and specifications from clients and government agencies and analyze project requirements and scope of work in coordination with the design and execution teams.
• Develop complete process design for any type of water and wastewater treatment system with any type of water source.
• Develop comprehensive technical proposals for water and wastewater treatment projects (RO UF MBR STP WTP ETP etc.).
• Prepare BOQs equipment selections and system design outlines based on client requirements.
• Ensure compliance with tender specifications and local regulations.
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs material equipment and labor cost estimation.
• Coordinate with vendors/subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
• Prepare complete cost sheets and pricing for final bid approval.
• Compile technical and commercial bid documentation as per tender requirements.
• Ensure timely submission of complete bid packages including compliance statements forms schedules etc.
• Support in clarifications technical presentations and contract negotiations when required.
• Track bid status and update management on progress.
• Maintain a database of standard proposal templates pricing history and vendor contacts.
• Knowledge of detailed engineering will be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

• Experience level: 03 years experience in preparing proposals for water and wastewater treatment projects.


• Familiarity with technologies such as SWRO UF MBBR MBR DAF clarifiers etc.


• Good knowledge of project estimation pricing and tendering process.


• Has a working knowledge of industry standards and regulations


• HSE compliance and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
