Job summary

Aaron Tech Plant Operations LLC is seeking an experienced Design & Estimation Engineer to design water and wastewater treatment systems, prepare cost estimates, and deliver technically sound, competitive proposals for a range of plants.

The role requires hands-on evaluation of client requirements, development of optimized treatment schemes, and collaboration with Sales, Procurement and Project teams through tendering, execution, and commissioning as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of relevant experience in design and estimation of water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Proven experience preparing technical proposals and cost estimates for STP, ETP, WTP, and RO systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop water and wastewater treatment systems and prepare cost estimates.
• Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing and process layouts.
• Coordinate with Sales, Procurement and Project Execution teams during proposal and implementation stages.
• Review RFQs, tender documents and specifications; develop optimized technical solutions.
• Support tender submissions and clarify technical and commercial aspects as required.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Design & Estimation Engineer with a strong background in water and wastewater treatment systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing process designs, preparing cost estimates, and delivering technically sound and commercially competitive proposals for a wide range of treatment plants.

This position requires a hands-on engineer capable of independently evaluating client requirements, developing optimized treatment solutions, and supporting projects from proposal stage through execution.

Key Responsibilities

Process & Engineering Design

• Design and develop water and wastewater treatment systems, including MBBR, MBR, SBR, ASP, ETP, STP, UF, RO, and tertiary treatment systems.

Prepare and review:

• Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
• Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
• Hydraulic calculations
• Equipment sizing and process calculations
• General arrangement and process layouts
• Select and specify equipment including pumps, blowers, membranes, filters, chemical dosing systems, and sludge handling equipment.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and internationally recognized engineering standards.
• Review RFQs, tender documents, specifications, and client requirements.
• Develop optimized technical solutions and treatment schemes.

Prepare:

• BOQs and BOMs
• Cost estimates and pricing sheets
• Techno-commercial proposals
• Evaluate vendor quotations and coordinate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
• Support tender submissions and clarify technical and commercial aspects as required.

Project & Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate closely with Sales, Procurement, and Project Execution teams during proposal and implementation stages.
• Participate in client, consultant, and contractor meetings for technical discussions and clarifications.
• Provide engineering support during commissioning and troubleshooting when required.
• Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement of design and proposal processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
• 3-7 years of relevant experience in the design and estimation of water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Proven experience preparing technical proposals and cost estimates for STP, ETP, WTP, and RO systems.
• Strong understanding of biological treatment processes, membrane technologies, filtration systems, chemical dosing, and sludge treatment.
• Ability to independently interpret specifications and develop practical treatment solutions.
• Experience working with EPC contractors, system integrators, or water treatment companies will be an advantage.
