Azizi Development UAE is looking for a Junior Engineer - Fire and Life Safety to support the Senior Engineer in fire safety design and compliance across major projects. You will work with a multidisciplinary team in the Design 360 Studio, focusing on innovative real estate assets like Burj Azizi and Azizi Venice.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Mechanical Engineering, NFPA certification, and 3-5 years of relevant experience, ensuring safety standards in a competitive and collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant fire and life safety engineering experience in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 101, NFPA 5000, UAE Fire Code, and related standards (NFPA 13, 14, 72, 92, etc.).
• Chartered Engineer status with a recognized professional institute is an advantage.

Position Overview

Junior Engineer - Fire and Life Safety (FLS) at Azizi Developments will support the Senior Engineer - FLS in delivering fire safety design, engineering reviews, and technical guidance across major projects. This role is part of the Design 360 Studio, a multidisciplinary team integrating architecture, structures, MEP, interiors, and supervision to deliver innovative real estate assets. The position focuses on ensuring compliance with international and UAE fire codes while contributing to landmark projects such as Burj Azizi, Monaco Mansions, and Azizi Venice.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist internal project teams by providing fire safety technical support across all project phases
• Review architectural layouts for compliance with NFPA, UAE Fire Code, and other applicable standards
• Evaluate design drawings, specifications, contractor proposals, and technical reports, providing safety comments and recommendations
• Prepare and distribute memorandums, technical notes, and presentations on critical fire safety issues
• Conduct research into new technologies, materials, and regulations, providing clear feedback and recommendations
• Perform risk assessments and present findings to stakeholders for informed decision-making
• Generate and contribute to fire safety strategy reports for building projects
• Deliver basic fire safety training and knowledge sharing within the Studio 360 team
• Assist in updating internal best practices, documentation, and fire safety guidelines
• Maintain accurate records in the FLS project tracker and manage assigned workload to meet deadlines

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• NFPA certification preferred
• 3-5 years of relevant fire and life safety engineering experience in the UAE
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 101, NFPA 5000, UAE Fire Code, and related standards (NFPA 13, 14, 72, 92, etc.)
• Proficiency in CAD, Bluebeam, and other FLS-related software
• Chartered Engineer status with a recognized professional institute is an advantage
