Role Summary

The Junior Engineer - Fire and Life Safety supports the design, review, and coordination of fire safety systems to ensure the highest levels of compliance and safety in all Azizi Developments projects. The role includes assisting in risk assessments, design reviews, and technical documentation, working closely with multidisciplinary teams within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Support internal project teams with fire safety guidance and technical expertise.
• Assist in reviewing architectural layouts in accordance with NFPA and UAE Fire Code.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and contractor proposals for fire safety compliance.
• Provide feedback and recommendations based on relevant codes and project requirements.
• Prepare technical notes, memorandums, and reports related to fire and life safety.
• Conduct research on fire safety technologies, materials, and code updates.
• Assist in performing qualitative and quantitative fire risk assessments.
• Support the preparation of fire safety strategy reports for all projects.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in project tracking systems.
• Participate in internal fire safety training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Coordinate with design, engineering, and site teams to ensure consistent application of safety standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in fire and life safety design or consulting.
• Thorough understanding of NFPA 101, NFPA 5000, UAE Fire Code, and related standards such as NFPA 13, 14, 72, and 92.
• NFPA certification preferred.
• Chartered Engineer status or affiliation with a professional institute is an advantage.
• Proficiency in CAD, Bluebeam, and other FLS-related software.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
